Reimagining Care for Kids

A year ago, we shared a bold vision: to build a second pediatric hospital and village of care dedicated to the children and families we serve. Just as important, we made a promise to listen. That commitment continues to shape not only what we are building, but why it matters.

At its core, this project is about access. We believe time, distance and uncertainty should never stand in the way of a child and family receiving the care they need. Our new pediatric campus in Jeffersontown, Kentucky, on 150 acres just off Interstate 64, will bring more specialists and more support closer to families from across the region. By bringing together advanced specialty care, leading doctors, innovative research, and expanded behavioral and mental health services in one place, we’re creating a more connected, seamless experience for children and families in Kentucky, Indiana and beyond.

But the true foundation of this work is you.

Over the past year, more than 10,000 families and community members have shared their voices through surveys and conversations. We’ve held 10 dedicated listening sessions and participated in more than 80 events across the region, hearing firsthand about the challenges families face and the hopes they carry. Your insights are not just informing this project, they’re driving it.

As this vision continues to take shape, we remain committed to continuing to listen and to sharing what we learn. Your voice is essential to ensuring this campus reflects the needs of children and families for generations to come.
