24/7 Virtual Urgent Care for You or Your Child

Access Virtual Urgent Care Now

The Louisville-based Norton eCare medical providers can care for minor illnesses and injuries in children ages 2 and older through video visits and eVisits available 24/7 every day of the year.

You can access care for your child anytime from your smartphone or computer through your free Norton MyChart account as long as you are in Kentucky or Indiana during the visit. If you don’t have an account, it only takes a few minutes to set up a Norton MyChart account.

Norton eCare is a great option for getting care for the minor ailments of childhood — or adulthood. Access care anytime without having to travel to a provider’s office.

Virtual urgent care visits are billable through Medicaid, Medicare and most major insurance plans. You’ll get the great care you know and expect from a local, Norton Healthcare provider.

During your video visit, if the provider determines you need a prescription, they will send a prescription request to the pharmacy of your choice. A consultation is not a guarantee of a prescription.

Norton eCare is not for complex, emergency or urgent situations. If your condition is serious, call your health care provider or 911, or go to the nearest emergency department.

Accessing Your Child’s Norton MyChart Account

It’s a good idea to establish access to your child’s Norton MyChart account before you need it. This is called “proxy access.”

If you already have your own Norton MyChart account, here’s how to request proxy access for your child:

  • Log in to your Norton MyChart account using a computer (this function is not yet available on the mobile app).
  • Once logged in, choose the “Your Menu” icon at the top left of the home page. Select “Personalize” from the drop-down menu (toward the bottom).
  • Select “Request access to a minor’s record.”
  • Fill in the details on the form, and select “Submit Request.” The Norton Healthcare information management department will use your information to approve your request.
  • You will receive a notification once proxy access has been set up. Your child’s profile will show up on your home screen every time you log in. View their medical record from the mobile app or a computer with internet access.
  • Adults or children ages 2 and older in Kentucky or Indiana can see a local Norton eCare provider face to face through a secure, online video connection.
  • Prescriptions are sent directly to your pharmacy of choice.
  • If tests are required, your provider can refer you to a drive-thru testing location or any Norton Healthcare or Norton Children’s facility with laboratory capabilities. No appointment is necessary once your provider orders the tests.
  • Video visits are covered by Medicaid, Medicare and most major insurance plans, and copays are similar to an office visit. Self-pay options also are available.

Norton eCare eVisits are a great option for children located in Kentucky who have been a patient at Norton Healthcare or Norton Children’s within the past three years. Norton eVisits are simple and do not require a video call. They are available for children ages 5 and older for ringworm, swimmer’s ear and head lice. A Norton eCare nurse practitioner will review your child’s symptoms and give you a phone call to discuss and prescribe treatment. Other treatments via eVisit are available for adults.

We accept most insurance plans for eVisits, and your copay may vary. The cost is $40 without insurance.
